This machine was missing the plastic stitch width dial when we acquired it, We have fitted a nice metal knob that makes changing the stitch width very easy. Features the flip up extension table on the left end of the bed and the roll out accessorie case that also extends the sewing surface. We have replaced the original incandescent bulb with a bright LED bulb, The LED emits more light and does not get hot. The original bulb in included with the attachments. These Kenmore 3/4 size machines are very nice compact machines, Comparable in size to a Singer 221 featherweight but with more power and more stitch patterns. The roll out accessories compartment holds attachments, needles, bobbins, Tools and notions, Behind the accessory case to the right of the hook is a lever to raise and lower the feed dogs. Machine uses the Industry Standard 15 class notched hook oscillating shuttle which is front facing which reduces vibration and allows the machine to sew with both a single or twin needles. Machine comes with the original carry case which is in nice condition. The case handle lifts up to carry machine and goes back down for storage. Built in stitch patterns include Straight Stitch, Zig Zag Stitch, Multi Point Zig Zag Stitch, Blind Hem Stitch and 4 Step Buttonhole, Adjustable stitch width and stitch length control for all stitch patterns. The machine is only equipped with 1 thread spool pin hower it is cable of twin needle/thread sewing, we use a thread stand but if you do not have one we have included an auxillary thread spool pin that fits on the bobbin winder shaft, The factory thread spool pin telescopes up for use and down for storage, the aux spool pin sits on the bobbin winder shaft. Remember when using a twin needle to always check the max stitch width by turning machine by hand to check twin needle side to side clearance in presser foot/needle plate slot before sewing.
