SINGER 222 222k Featherweight Sewing Machine w Carry Case & Feet110vRED S 1960. Singer 222K’Red S’ Featherweight free arm sewing machine. Serial #ER902503, manufactured in 1960. This was a one owner machine, you can tell this machine has been loved and well taken care of over the years. Comes with a 110v motor so no transformer is needed – This machine has been in Canada all of it’s life but interestingly it has a US motor, not the Canadian motor that exported 222’s usually had. It is a very clean machine with a shiny finish, but it does show some signs of age. It has typical needle scratches on the bed which are visible under bright light such as the work lamp. The rear decals are a little’spotty’ and there is a small amount of paint wear just starting along the front edge. The bed fits fairly tightly and has rubbed the paint along the free arm – Please see the last 3 pics. This machine has been cleaned, oiled & tested. It runs strong & smooth and sews a nice stitch. Light works, bobbin winder functions. The carry case is in good usable condition with typical wear, the inside contains the red plastic side tray – The case does have an odor, it is not super strong and a few days in sunshine should freshen it right up I haven’t seen warm sunshine for months, so I will have to leave that to you! This 222K comes with the following accessories. Original red vinyl accessory box / holder – The corners are starting to open so I will include a regular Singer box as well. Box containing 7 feet – Ruffler, adjustable hemmer, hemmer, gathering foot, Zipper foot, edge stitcher and binder, even includes the original packing slip. Large & small Singer screwdriver. Original bakelite foot pedal, cords are in excellent condition. One case key, I forgot to include it in the photos. Original Simanco bobbin case & 8 bobbins. Original 222 instruction manual – The cover has been secured with tape but still very usable.
