Gorgeous Style Knitting Bag From The 1950s In Excellent Vintage Condition. This knitting bag is a true vintage heirloom quality treasure to find. Overall measurements are: 14 1/2″ tall (including handles), and 16″ across at the base. The opening is 5″ by 9″ and is 12 1/2 deep. Each bag handle is 3 1/2″ high and 12″ across with a hand-carved opening 1 3/4″ by 3 3/4″. Weighs 9 oz before packaging. It is hand-crocheted entirely using fine deep red and black 100% mercerized cotton that adds depth and dimension to this amazing project bag. Notable is the handcrafted, hand-carved lightweight, durable, ergonomic wooden handle with hand-gathered, fully enclosed handle casing. Equally noteworthy is the dramatic jacquard-like/damask-like crocheted pattern woven into the construction of the fabric. The bag is lined in a matching solid red color decorator fabric. It is one of a kind, we have not found an exact duplicate. Ever so lightweight and beautifully handcrafted, this bag is in wonderful vintage condition inside and out.
